Bourbon is booming in a big way, as well it should.

As countless new brands are introduced to take advantage of the growing market for bourbon it becomes harder and harder as consumers to know where to spend our money.  Even the dedicated spirits professionals that work at it every day have a hard time keeping up with it all.  Don't get us wrong, this is definitely a good problem to have!

At the bar we are often asked many of the same questions about what's good, what's new, and where to find it.  One of the best resources we have found lately for enthusiasts seeking answers to those questions is the Michigan Bourbon Club, a Facebook group that just celebrated their one year anniversary and 2000th member in the same week.

Whether you are a fan of using Facebook or not, this group will give you a reason to log in (warning, it gets addicting!).  The admins, starting with group founder Patrick Moore, do a great job of managing this growing community of whiskey enthusiasts.  It really doesn't matter if you are a grizzled bourbon vet or an excited newbie, this group has something to offer (check early and often for single barrel alerts!).

If you're into podcasts and want to learn more about the MBC you can listen to the latest episode of Heard Podcast featuring Patrick, as well as our friend Tony Batou from The Wine Garden

Let's face it (no pun intended), we can all use some more bourbon in our Facebook newsfeed.
